Why? Because the moon is nearly full and I’m sensitive to it’s effects on our magnetic fields. And this is only the beginning.
We are just about to experience the TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE OF THE CENTURY!
You don’t want to miss this. Not so much for the visuals, which are a rare and unique sight indeed, but more for the energetic effects. Let’s just say, this is an excellent time to meditate! (Note: The eclipse will not be visible from the United States. The best place to actually view the eclipse is India!)

Does the Full Moon make us Crazy?
Although popular belief supports the idea of the moon making us crazy – hence the term “lunatic” – this is not fully accurate. The full moon has the ability to MAGNIFY our energies. So whatever our tendencies, they will be amplified around the full moon. In the mood to shop?…You may very well over-spend your budget. Grieving the loss of your beloved pet?…Stock up on tissues. Feeling contemplative?…Sit for meditation!
Prayer, Devotion & Sadhana
The real value in cosmic events lies in the opportunity for accelerated spiritual focus and growth. As I mentioned before, this is an excellent time to devote to meditation, prayer, devotion and sadhana (daily spiritual practice). Even if you are not in the “mood” to meditate, it is wise to direct your energies inward and focus on the Divine. (This can also temper any tendencies to become a lunatic at this time! lol)
What is so special about THIS Eclipse?
This will be a TOTAL lunar eclipse…the next one doesn’t happen until January 21, 2019. It is also the LONGEST eclipse of the century, with the total event expected to last nearly 4 hours. (The last lunar eclipse on January 21, 2018 lasted only about 1hr 16 minutes, for comparison.)
